SCORING a support slot with Australia's biggest ever band in AC/DC is a pretty big deal in the music business - just ask Calling All Cars.
It's now time for the Melbourne-based alt-rockers to step out on their own and bring their headline tour to WA.
Bassist Adam Montgomery shares a moment before the band hit the Rosemount Hotel, North Perth, on September 4, and join the HyperFest youth festival line-up at Midland Railway Workshops on September 5.
Q. Most memorable gig?
A. The second Sydney show of the AC/DC tour. Insanely large crowd and a really good vibe that you wouldn't expect from a stadium show.
Q. In three words, describe the guys that make up AC/DC.
A. Delicate, quaint and petite.
Q. Name three places in the world where you dream of playing to a live audience.
A. New York would be on the top of the list, followed by London. They are the music capitals of the world.
Third would be Portugal as it is an amazing country and I would love to go back there. Playing a show would be a good excuse.
Q. A musical guilty pleasure?
A. I once listened to Salt 'N' Pepa's Very Necessary album twice in a row. True story.
