I was riding the train to work this morning and gazing out the window, when I noticed a man staring at me. Actually, he was staring at my reflection, so I was actually staring back at his reflection, but you know what I mean.

"It's like someone amputated the tip of your little finger," muses my teacher, as he watches me struggle to reach the farthest notes on a full-size violin.

My gaze travels leisurely over the light, airy bedroom. Crisp cotton linens in country white and blue adorn a vast wooden bed, and an old-fashioned writing bureau waits invitingly next to the french doors. I peek through the curtains and see a bright, enticing porch nestled in greenery.

The Secret was "discovered" by Rhonda Byrne, an Australian TV producer, in 2004.

I have always been under the impression that there were social niceties that everyone observed; universal knowledge learned by example and regulated by one's peers and the rest of the community.
But apparently I have been living in La-La Land, having dew-drop tea and enchanted scones with the fairy queen.

So, the gas crisis has finally forced people to be frugal with energy, which is good, but it is a little worrying that it took the threat of a beef shortage to drive us to it. (Yes, yes, I know other industries are affected too, but you wouldn't think it from reading the papers.)
